Pregnancy and the early postpartum months ask a great deal of your body and nervous system. CranioSacral Therapy offers a quiet, fully clothed space where you can rest, be listened to, and receive gentle support through light touch — without pressure to “push through” or have everything figured out.
Trying to conceive
CST is not a fertility treatment and does not claim to improve conception outcomes. During the trying-to-conceive season, sessions may offer gentle support for stress, tension, pelvic and whole-body awareness, and nervous system settling while you navigate your next steps with your care team.

Pregnancy

As your body changes, many mothers notice discomfort in the back, hips, pelvis, or whole body — along with stress, fatigue, or difficulty settling. During pregnancy, CST may support:
- Comfort and ease as your body changes
- Pelvic and whole-body awareness
- Nervous system settling and rest
- A quieter place to feel connected to yourself
Sessions use props and pillows so you can rest comfortably at any stage of pregnancy. You remain fully clothed, and you can ask questions, pause, or adjust at any time.
Postpartum & the fourth trimester
The early months after birth are a season of recovery, bonding, and deep adjustment. Postpartum sessions offer a quiet place to be supported as your body and nervous system settle after birth. Sessions may support:
- Physical recovery and body awareness after birth
- Rest, regulation, and emotional settling
- Tension in the jaw, neck, shoulders, back, or pelvis that can make feeding and daily care harder
- Space to reconnect with yourself while caring for a newborn
You are welcome to bring your baby to a session for you. Feeding, settling, and pausing mid-session are all normal here. If you would like a dedicated session focused on your baby, see Babies & Newborns.

What a session looks like
You rest fully clothed on the treatment table while Janelle uses light, listening touch. Sessions are client-led and trauma-informed — nothing is forced. Some mothers feel deeply relaxed; others notice awareness, emotion, or subtle shifts. There is no “right” experience.
Birth doula support
Beyond CranioSacral Therapy, I also offer full birth doula services in Davis and Salt Lake counties. Steady, client-led support through labor and birth, with optional CST-informed comfort during labor when appropriate and with consent. Pregnancy CST sessions are separate from the doula package and may be purchased on their own or through the pregnancy package below.
